Have you seen a bobcat this winter? UNH wants to know!  As you may have read in today’s Keene Sentinel, researchers from UNH & the New Hampshire Department of Fish & Game are teaming up on a four-year statewide study of bobcat abundance (how many bobcats do we have in New Hampshire?) and distribution (where do they live?).  Last winter, biologists tagged & radio-tracked 12 bobcats right here in the Monadnock region.  This season, they’ll be taking a closer look at southeast New Hampshire, but your Monadnock -region bobcat sightings are still an important piece of the research puzzleClick here to report your New Hampshire bobcat sightings, and here to find out what this study is revealing about the Granite State”s bobcat population.
